Health Data Policy
This policy adds to our Privacy Policy. It explains how we handle the health information you enter in Qabila, because it is the most sensitive data we hold.
What health data we collect
You decide what to enter. We collect health data only if you enter it.
- Period and cycle dates, and how long your cycles last.
- Symptoms, mood and notes you add.
How we keep it separate from who you are
We store your health data against a random account ID, not next to your name, email or phone number. Your login details are held separately by our sign-in provider.
Our legal basis: your explicit consent
We process your health data only with your explicit consent, which we ask for in the app before you enter anything. We keep a record of when you gave and withdrew it. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings. When you do, we stop using your health data, and you can delete it.
What we use it for
We use your health data for anything else only if you give us separate, explicit consent first.
- To run the service: tracking your cycles, showing your history and making estimates.
- To protect the service and meet our legal duties, for example to prevent fraud or abuse.
Selling and advertising
If any of this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
- We do not sell your health data.
- We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use advertising trackers in the app.
- We do not use it to make decisions about you, such as for insurance or employment.
Who can see it
- Service providers who host our servers or help with support, under contract and only on our instructions.
- A buyer or partner, if our company is sold or merged. We would tell you first and you could delete your data.
Legal requests
We disclose health data only when a valid order from a competent court or authority legally requires it. We review each request, object to those that are unlawful or too broad where we can, share only the minimum needed, and tell you about the request unless the law forbids it. Because we store health data under a random ID, we hold limited information that identifies you.
Security
We protect health data with encryption in transit and at rest, and limited staff access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Where it is stored
We host your data with providers in the European Union. See the Privacy Policy for transfers abroad.
Your rights and deleting your data
You can access, correct, delete or take a copy of your health data, and withdraw your consent, using the app or by writing to [email protected]. To delete everything, use Settings > Account > Delete account or follow our Delete account page. How long we keep data is in the Privacy Policy.
If we say no
If we refuse a request, we will tell you why. You can appeal by writing to [email protected]. If you are still not satisfied you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date below and tell you in the app. Contact: [email protected].
